Chair(s)

Merchant, N., Pfizer Inc.

Co-chair(s)

Menegatti, S., North Carolina State University

Chromatography is one of the most critical unit operations in modern day downstream bioprocessing. It is widely used from the first capture to the final polishing operations. This session is open to the papers dealing with advances in all fundamental and applied aspects of the preparative and process scale chromatography for the separation of biological macromolecules such as proteins, peptides, monoclonal antibodies, polynucleotides, plasmid DNA, and VLP's. The papers may include the commonly used chromatography techniques such as hydrophobic interaction chromatography (HIC), ion exchange chromatography (IEX) affinity chromatography (AC), mixed mode or multimodal chromatography (MMC), hydroxyapatite chromatography (HAC), size exclusion or gel filtration chromatography (SEC)
