I am traveling to the United States from another country. Where can I learn about COVID-19 travel policies and procedures?
On October 15, 2021 The White House announced that vaccines will be required for international travelers coming into the United States, with an effective date of November 8, 2021.
If you are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19, you will NOT be allowed to board a flight to the United States, unless you meet the criteria for an exception under the Proclamation and CDC’s Amended Order. A booster dose is not needed to meet this requirement.
For purposes of entry into the United States, vaccines accepted will include FDA approved, authorized and WHO Emergency Use Listing vaccines, and certain clinical trial vaccines which have confirmed efficacy :
- Janssen/J&J
- Convidecia (CanSinoBIO)
- Comirnaty (Pfizer-BioNTech)
- Spikevax (Moderna)
- Vaxzevria (AstraZeneca)
- Covaxin
- Covishield
- BIBP/Sinopharm
- CoronaVac (Sinovac)
- Nuvaxovid (Novavax)
- Covovax
- Medicago
Please consult your country's specific policies and procedures regarding international travel. Information on testing procedures for travelers entering the U.S. may be found on the Center for Disease Control (CDC) website.
