Abstract Submission Requirements
CONTINUING FOR 2022: The Executive Board of the Program Committee (EBPC) has developed a new set of standards for abstracts accepted for presentation. These guidelines will be used by session chairs during the review process.
Papers will be graded on relevance, completeness, clarity, and overall significance.
- Please note: you will be asked to log in using your AIChE website credentials. If you do not have a login associated with AIChE, you will have an opportunity to create a free guest account.
- Are you a faculty or industry candidate? Please make sure to check out the additional requirements.
- Are you an undergraduate student? If so, you may be interested in particpating in the Annual Student Conference (and the related Undergraduate Student Poster Competition) instead. A separate call for submissions will be available in late summer/early fall. Learn more at www.aiche.org/asc

Submitting Your Abstract
Please read through these steps and ensure you have everything you need before beginning your submission.
- Review the instructions and rubric outlined in the CfA Webpage.
- Click on the Submit an Abstract tab, and select a Programming Group that you would like to submit to. Please note the submission deadline.
- Select your Session/Topic for your abstract submission. A list of sessions will be available when you select a general group to submit to. When you are ready to start your submission, click the "Submit an Abstract to this Session" button.
- Log in to AIChE. You will be asked to log in using your AIChE website credentials. If you do not have a login associated with AIChE, you will have an opportunity to create a free guest account.
- Submit your Abstract Title and presenter information. Abstract title may not exceed 150 characters.
- Enter Author and Co-Author Information for your abstract. This includes: Full Names, E-mail Address, Affiliation, & Affiliation City, State, and/or Country
- Upload your Abstract Text

- In most cases, the word limit is 1,500 (please see individual divisions/forums for specific word limits). "Meet the Candidates" Poster Sessions have additional requirements, outlined in the section below.
- Optional: Image Upload - If you have any images/tables you need to upload with your abstract submission, they must be merged into a single image file to be uploaded.

- Select any Keywords relevant to your submission. A list of available keywords can be found here.
- Confirm Your Submission. You will still be able to edit your submission at any time before the Call for Abstracts closes by logging in via the confex gateway.
Faculty, Post-Doc, & Industry Candidates
Faculty Candidates
Are you currently a faculty candidate? If so you may want to submit to the Meet the Faculty and Post-Doc Candidates Poster Session or related oral sessions organized by some divisions and forums.
Oral Session Requirements: Faculty Candidate oral sessions are organized independently by AIChE's divisions and forums. You can find more information about these sessions in the preliminary program or in the call for abstracts link. DEADLINE TO SUBMIT: April 11, 2022, 11:59 PM ET
Poster Session Requirements: In addition to the general process outlined above, faculty candidates will also be required to include research interests and teaching interests in their submitted abstract. Candidates will be given an opportunity to provide additional supporting documentation as needed. Please note that resumes will be collected via a separate database. More information will be available on this once acceptance notices are sent. DEADLINE TO SUBMIT: July 1, 2022
Post-Doc Candidates
Are you currently a post-doc candidate? If so you may want to submit to the Meet the Faculty and Post-Doc Candidates Poster Session.
Poster Session Requirements: In addition to the general process outlined above, post-doc candidates will also be required to include research interests in their submitted abstract. Candidates will be given an opportunity to provide additional supporting documentation as needed. Please note that resumes will be collected via a separate database. More information will be available on this once acceptance notices are sent. DEADLINE TO SUBMIT: July 1, 2022, 11:59 PM ET
Industry Candidates
Are you looking for a job in the pharmaceuticals industry? If so you may want to submit to the Meet the Industry Candidates Poster Session, hosted by the Pharmaceutical Discovery, Development and Manufacturing Forum (PD2M).
Is your work related to mixing or particles? This year the North American Mixing Forum and Particle Technology Forum will join to host Meet the Industry Candidates Poster Sessions, don't miss your chance to submit and present directly to companies including The Dow Chemical Company and more!
