The objective of this study was to enhance carbon dioxide separation from methane and evaluate commercially available carbon-based adsorbents for this separation. This research involved experiments to measure adsorption equilibria and kinetics, conducting breakthrough curve experiments at various pressures, temperatures, and flow rates. Modelling and simulation using gPROMS software, validating the model with experimental data, and conducting parametric studies to identify the best operating conditions for adsorption separation of carbon dioxide from methane were also included in this study.
