Biobased polymers and PCR compounds are hot topics these days for many industries such as Automotive, Appliance and Industrial. Many global companies are heavily invested and engaged in developing products based on bio polymer and/or PCR compounds. Difficulties in processing biopolymers and sorting and cleaning PCR compounds adds new challenges and most often takes large capital investment and spending extra manpower to overcome the problems. This takes a tremendous toll on the financial health of a company. AI and ML technology is the panacea. This presentation discusses the advancements Alterra has made in the last 5 years in AI and ML to optimize compounding process for the biobased and the PCR compounds.
