Professor L-S Fan is a renowned scholar and educator in the field of chemical engineering and has made significant contributions to the advancement of the discipline. He is a foreign member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and has significantly promote the scholarly exchanges between the United States and China. Additionally, Professor Fan has mentored a number of Chinese students and postdoctoral researchers who have gone on to pursue successful careers in academia and industry. Under his guidance, I have learned the key concepts and skills required of an independent researcher, including critical thinking, careful methodology, and technology innovation. This talk will highlight the ways in which Professor Fan's mentorship, support, and collaboration have impacted the development of Chinese students and scholars.
