(336a) UK-Hyres - Identifying, Prioritising and Solving Research Challenges in Hydrogen and Alternative Liquid Fuels

Authors

Rothman, R. - Presenter, University of Sheffield
UK-HyRES is the flagship UK research hub for hydrogen and alternative liquid fuels. It aims to bring together the hydrogen community to identify, prioritise and solve challenges that limit deployment of hydrogen and alternative liquid fuels. The hub is focussed around four technical themes: production, storage and distribution, end use, and alternative fuels (predominantly ammonia). All technical work and projects are looked at through the cross cutting lenses of economic, environment, social and safety to ensure that technical solutions are sustainable, safe and can deliver impact. This presentation will cover initial projects within the hub, including hydrogen for aviation, the energy networks needed for industrial hydrogen deployment across foundation industries, and green ammonia production.
