(362m) Theory-Guided Design of Sustainable Separation of Metals

It can be difficult to separate metals with similar radii using methods that depend on selectivity based on physical properties. However, in this presentation, I will explore how separation techniques can be developed based on differences in the electronic structure of molecules. As an example, I will showcase the separation of Tantalum and Niobium metalloisomers, which serves as evidence for the feasibility of this approach to separation.
