Kadhum, M., Lifecore Biomedical

This session shines a light on the essential aspects of particle engineering and material sciences in the context of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) crystallization and processing. Highlighting the role of these fields in pharmaceutical formulation design and development, we'll explore inventive process designs, particle attribute manipulation, and scale-up strategies. Additionally, we'll look at cutting-edge advancements in experimental, theoretical, and computational tools used to analyze and forecast solid properties, including innovative particle engineering approaches for amorphous drug products. Case studies illustrating the impact of material science in shaping both drug substance and product processes will be showcased. All submissions across sessions I-III are potential candidates for oral presentations.
