Materials for Quantum Science

Chair(s)

Shi, S., Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute

Co-chair(s)

Kumar, P., University of Michigan
Gibbs, S., University of Texas At Austin

One of the most exciting developments in optoelectronics is the demonstration of quantum optical phenomena, such as superfluorescence, photon entanglement, spin coherence, and more. This is emerging as a rich area of research for chemical engineering due to the overlap of materials synthesis and processing and energy transport required to demonstrate of these phenomena. This session highlights advancements in the understanding of quantum materials, including their fundamental properties, fabrication, and applications.
