This session will discuss progress towards Pharma 4.0 through advancements in digitalization, process modeling, and process control. Contributions include the use of digital twins for control, optimization, and risk assessment; mechanistic and data-driven models; and establishing secure and FAIR digital infrastructures in industrial settings. As Part 1 of 2, this session will focus on specific applications of pharma 4.0 for real processes.
