Special Topics in Crystallization: Energy, Sustainability, and Amorphous Precipitation

Chair(s)

Co-chair(s)

Derdour, L., Glaxosmithkline

This session will cover special topics on crystallization as they relate to sustainability, energy, and the formation of amorphous materials. The first half of the session will focus on synthesis of crystalline materials for energy storage and sustainability. The second half will cover amorphous precipitation and processing. Synthesis of crystalline materials is a growing area of research in the field of energy storage and sustainability. In particular, in the area of experimentation under microgravity and for space exploration where there is a need for high density and durable energy storage. This session will cover presentations related to advances in the synthesis of energy storage crystalline materials and in the improvement of their targeted properties, such as durability and energy density.
