Pilot Plant Success Stories
Tuesday, April 25, 2006 - 9:30am to 10:00am
A continuous stirred tank reactor for a homogeneous chemical reactor was operating in about a 70% reaction level. Some random pilot plant studies indicated that about a 90% reaction efficiency might be possible.
A geometrically simular small scale reactor was designed, but gave a different result than that which was being obtained in the full scale.
Various parameters were studied and results simular to full scale were obtained. This simulated the full scale results and allowed the studies of several other parameters with simular results to the full scale unit.
