Characterisation of nanoparticles and nanotubes is an area of great scientific interest as bottom-up approaches are undergoing exponential growth to fulfil a wide range of applications such as pharmaceutical, catalyses, coatings, optics, electronics, nanofluids, nanocomposites and tissue engineering. This session focuses on “characterisation of nanoparticles and nanotubes”, particularly those below 500nm. We invite authors to submit papers addressing novel scientific work in nanoparticle and nanotube characterisation as follows: • TEM,XRD, NMR, AFM, RAMAN, SAXS, SAS, SANS, light scattering and electro acoustics techniques • Determination of particle size, shape, crystallinity and fractal dimensions • Modeling and data interpretation • Data handling and statistical image analyses • Pore size, surface area and pore volume by novel techniques • Orientation, intercalation and dispersion of nanoparticles and nanotubes in nanocomponsite materials.
