A granular system consists of a large number of particles that interact in varying and complex ways, and gives complex dynamic behaviour that is difficult to understand, predict and manage at a macroscopic scale. Chaotic approach has recently emerged to be a useful tool to describe this transient behaviour. This session is expected to cover: (1) the analysis of the chaotic origin at a microscopic scale, (2) the techniques for chaotic modeling and analysis, (3) the application of chaotic approach, and (4) other relevant aspects.
