To Toll or Not to Toll: That Is the Question
Wednesday, April 25, 2007 - 4:35pm to 5:00pm
Toll manufacturing is a collaborative effort between a customer and a contract manufacturer. The customer usually only deals with one, maybe two, contract manufactures at any given time. Contract manufacturers may be accommodating several customers at any time, potentially working with double digit numbers, if not more, of customers over the course of a year to avoid equipment and employee idle time.
From the contract manufacturer perspective, every customer brings a unique set of requirements and expectations which may or may not be a good fit in the collaboration. In this presentation, the requirements and expectations of a toll manufacturer will be discussed.
