Based on a thermodynamic analysis, the effects of temperature, the ratio of steam to dimethyl ether (DME) on thermodynamic equilibrium compositions in the DME steam reforming system were obtained. The ratio of steam to DME to be 3 or more and low temperature is favorable for the reaction system equilibrium compositions.A system of DME steam reformation reaction for experiment and measurement was designed. Using this system, kinetics of DME steam reforming was investigated. The effects of temperature, the ratio of steam to DME and W/F which is the ratio of quality of catalysts and DME velocity of flow on conversion of DME were analyzed. Kinetics expressions parameters of Arrhenius style simplified model were determined on the data obtained from experiments.
