A B-Z Oscillatory reaction with citric acid, Mn(II) and potassium bromate has been investigated in presence of sodium dodecyl sulphate(SDS),cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide(CTAB) and Triton-X (Tx).Oscillatory parameters such as time of initiation (Ti), life time(Tl), Amplitude(A) and no of oscillations(n) have been dramatically decreased in presence of micellar media. The waves were reproduced with a perfect accuracy when conducted in teflon reactor. The concentration of controlling intermediate (Bromide ion) has been significantly affected by the adition of micelles. A plausible mechanism to account for the micellar effects on the oscillatory behavior has been proposed. Attempts have been made to simulate the oscillations using Runge-kutta method.
