As a project progresses from beginning to end, how is good Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) control maintained? When are EHS gate reviews needed during the progress of a capital project? How does one verify and confirm all related requirements have been met before starting the next phase of the project? As a practice example, the ?7 Phases and 6 Gates? system integrates project requirements, local laws / governmental requirements, and the 14 elements of the OSHA PSM standard into the overall progress measurement of the capital project, while at the same time, uses an electronic-database to carry out all approval flows, action item tracking and houses all documentation.
