(169c) HF Alkylation: A New Age

The demand for alkylate gasoline in North America is expected to continue to grow. Alkylate is the optimum blending material in the gasoline pool due to its excellent blending characterizes: no olefins, low vapor pressure, high octane, and absence of aromatic compounds. At the same time there is increased pressure from local communities to improve the safety of the existing and new HF Alkyaltion units.

This paper will summarize the existing options available for meeting the demands of increased alkylate production and improved safety features of HF Alkyaltion units.
