Regulated facilities within Contra Costa County, California are required to develop Human Factors Programs as part of the local Industrial Safety Ordinance (ISO). Human Factors Programs within the County are designed to be a thorough assessment of equipment, work processes, procedures, practices, work environment, and management systems as they relate to health and safety. This presentation will describe what a comprehensive Human Factors Program should include to continuously improve the work environment to minimize situations that could lead to incidents or accidents.
