Gasification processes have been widely used in various industrial applications and the use of various feedstocks is being developed. In this study, the gasification characteristics of coal and petroleum coke water mixture and glycerin were investigated in 1 T/D entrained-flow gasifier (I.D. 0.2m x Height 1.7m). The gasification system consisted of oxygen input system, fuel mixing tank, dual mixing burner, entrained-flow gasifier, water scrubber and gas analyzer. At the gasification of coal and coke water mixture, the syngas flow and H2/CO ratio are higher than that at the gasification of petroleum coke. The calorific value of syngas from mixture shows about 1,600-1,800kcal/Nm3. At the gasification of glycerin, the average gasification temperature is about 1,000oC and the H2/CO ratio is much higher than that of mixture.
