Process Safety – From the Top-Down and Bottom-up
Tuesday, April 28, 2009 - 3:30pm to 4:00pm
There are five keys that managers need to understand to improve process safety:
1.Management's effect on performance improvement.
2.How performance improvement and root cause analysis work together.
3.How to change behavior effectively.
4.How to move from being reactive to being proactive.
5.How to use effective trending to assess data and manage process safety.
This paper explains a little about each key and provides examples of how the failure to understand a key has lead to poor performance. It will address the knowledge needed by Division level leadership and Plant Managers of large industrial facilities.
