Conventional modeling approaches that are based on chemical, physical and/or mathematical concepts have some inherent drawbacks, which arise from four basic defects:- (a) instrumentation / measurement errors, (b) difficulty in interpretation of observed phenomena, (c) human error tendency and (d) standardization problems. An alternative heuristic model is proposed that uses experience-based techniques to help in problem solving, learning and discovery since it is readily accessible, simple in concept and less time consuming.
