Abstract:
The primary emphasis of this paper is a review of the accumulated experience in the operation and maintenance of the cavern storage system at a petrochemical facility located in Ontario, Canada. The contribution that caverns provide relative to competitive advantages, safety and capital costs is discussed within the context of the history and development of the cavern industry in Ontario.
