This symposium will focus on the use of plasma for energy and environmental applications. Topics of interest will include, but are not limited to the following: • Plasma-assisted reforming to produce hydrogen-rich synthesis gas • CO2 conversion or decomposition • Coal, biomass, or solid waste gasification • Plasma for diesel exhaust treatment • Plasma-assisted combustion • NOx, SOx, VOC, or ammonia removal/decomposition • Fuel cleanup – desulfurization, tar cracking, etc. • H2S decomposition • Plasma-assisted heterogeneous catalysis for energy and environmental applications
