(146d) Reduction of Refinery CO2 Emissions Via Utilities & Offsites

The importance of reducing CO2 Emissions in process units has become more important to refiners. The presentation will focus on optimizing and identifying the Utilities and Offsites related equipment, which can be modified to reduce CO2 admissions and save energy.  Topics covered will include steam generation, steam usage, cogeneration, flares, tankage, electricity, and cooling water. The CO2 emissions from the entire facility may be reduced by: reducing the amount of fuel that is consumed in the Utility Boilers and by controlling the production and CO2 throughout the complex.
