(30c) Rate Based Modeling – the Developer's Perspective

20⁺ years of research, development, and commercialization have culminated in the wide acceptance and success of the ProTreat mass transfer rate-based gas treating simulator. As engineers, we tend to focus on the end product without giving much thought to the thoughts and decisions that are required along the journey to reach a goal. A glimpse into the mindset of engineering software development from the developer’s perspective is provided. In particular, certain traits are almost pre-requisites for success in this area of chemical engineering.
