How do you transfer knowledge and lessons learned from the PSM professionals in your company, down to operation and up to leadership? A- How to go from “Lesson” to “Learned” : PSM from Engineering to Operations Nearly every standard, specification, best operating practice, rule or regulation has been as the result of a failure, and negative consequence. A “lesson” attempted to be “learned” through the documentation of requirements that, if practiced, would avoid the event. This session will discuss how companies integrate the process hazard knowledge within an organization into the day-to-day operations through communication, employee engagement and participation, procedures, training and other management systems and practices. How do we ensure that knowledge is translated into action at the operational level so that we avoid the next process safety event?
