The need to conserve water is becoming a common concern throughout the world, whether it is for human consumption or industrial processes. This session seeks contributions pertaining to advanced technologies for water use, re-use and treatment for the chemical and energy industries. Also of interest are theoretical and modeling studies to predict process performance and cost impacts of using alternative water sources, and/or of implementing alternative water-related technologies. Ultimately, this research may lead to more sustainable use of limited global water resource in the chemical and energy industries.
