The market for small and mid-scale LNG equipment is rapidly evolving in all levels of the LNG technology. Assessing the infrastructure to produce, store, distribute and utilize the LNG on a small and mid-scale base, it becomes evident that LNG pumps are an essential and critical element of the entire LNG technology chain. Any successful transfer of LNG requires efficient and reliable cryogenic LNG pumps. The paper presents the design and the operation of small and mid-scale LNG pumps.
