CFD Applications in Refining
Tuesday, April 30, 2013 - 8:30am to 9:00am
We have successfully used CFD( Computational Fluid Dynamics) to improve the performance of a Crude and Coker Heater. CFD helps to model the burners, combustion chamber and find out flame, flue gas, temperature profiles in the firebox. We will present two case studies, one of Crude Heater and the other on Coker Heater. In both cases, client was experiencing high tube metal temperatures and we were able to diagnose the problems and provide them with solutions to lower the tube metal temperatures.
