Six Sigma Process Development
Wednesday, April 2, 2014 - 8:30am to 9:00am
When properly implemented, Six Sigma methods and the application of Experimental Design can be powerful tools to aid in the development and optimization of new chemical processes. More robust solutions can be delivered in a shorter time with fewer resources by applying Six Sigma principles to process research.
This presentation will provide an overview of the application of Six Sigma and Experimental Design to process research, drawing upon the experience of eleven years of application within the Process Science group of The Dow Chemical Company. The presentation will be illustrated with examples drawn from past project work in our Process Science group.
