(120d) Flameless Thermal Oxidation

Linde's patented Flameless Thermal Oxidizers (FTO) technology oxidizes combustible gases and atomized liquids with air under controlled conditions in a specially designed reactor without a flame. Residence time and reaction temperatures are carefully selected to achieve 99.99 +% destruction efficiency with ultra-low NOx and dioxin emissions at very high thermal energy efficiency. These systems are commercially proven, cost effective and highly effective for the destruction of volatile organic compounds (VOC's) and hazardous air pollutants (HAP's). This paper will present an overview of the FTO technology and market applications with special emphasis on environmental performance and cost considerations.
