In light of the need to find an applicable, consistent and promising correlation to accurately calculating sour gases viscosity under several reservoir conditions, this study aims to compare the existing correlations and other industry standard methods, check their accuracy and range of applicability for sour/acidic gases. Moreover, investigating the impact of uncertainties in estimating sour gas viscosities on reservoir flow performance relationship (IPR), reserves and resources estimations, tubing performance, pipeline and facilities design, the design of compressors and more importantly the need to find such correlation to be used in further advancements of reservoir simulation.
