Fuzzy mathematics is the extension of precision mathematics which is widely used in modern science and technology and solves lots of complicated phenomena that the precision mathematics can not explain. The chemical production is a complicated procedure which not only has the risk factors of flammable, explosion, poison, harmful, high temperature and high pressure, but also has the uncertainties of long production procedure, multi-links, the abnormal variations of operating conditions and uneven management level that may result in uncertainty in the safety management of chemical procedure. The research of maximum membership degree, fuzzy set, and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation of the fundamental principles and applications of the fuzzy mathematics and the analysis of the factors which influence the safety of chemical procedure draw the conclusion that to carry out the culture construction centers on detailed safety management is the basic approach to guarantee the safety of chemical process.
