The Development and Prospect of HAZOP Analysis in China Petrol Chemical Industry.

During the past ten years, HAZOP has already been developed and applied in the area of petrochemical industries in china, and many petrochemical corporations have adapted this technology, it has been widely used to assess devices which are in the process of production and design. Somehow, it has achieved obvious effects in the aspect of inherent safety. However, HAZOP is still in the stage of generalizing. So there are many problems such as lacks of unified standards, different ways to analysis, methods that use non-standard and so on. Due to these problems, the HAZOP cannot guarantee the quality of the analysis and help the promotion. Based on the development of the HAZOP used to assess the petrochemical devices in china, we expounded the main difficulties and problems which encountered in the current development of HAZOP systematically, and we also put forward some suggestion for the further development of HAZOP analysis.
