In recent years, the incidents and accidents occur frequently in petro-chemical industries, which bring much negative influence to the enterprises, as well as huge pressure to the enterprises’ managers and technicians. In order to increase the process safety level, the CNPC process safety research team developed a key process safety technology, which breaks the bottleneck of the qualitative analysis methodology that is adopted in traditional process safety analysis methods such as HAZOP analysis. That key technology they developed is a new analysis method integrating the HAZOP, LOPA and SIL verification methods, covering the qualitative, semi-quantitative and quantitative analysis methods and affording sufficient technical support for analyzing, discovering and eliminating the chemical process risks. Based on that technology, they built the related management codes, technical guidelines and software toolkits, fulfilling the requirements of promoting that technology in management aspect and technology aspect. That technology has been promoted in several new chemical plants and existing plants of CNPC and got positive feedbacks.
