Companies which demonstrate effective chemical process safety management develop and maintain a process safety culture which drives and sustains the desired behaviors. Executive leadership sets the course for the company’s process safety programs through their attitudes and behaviors. Through demonstrated leadership, these executives must effectively engage both internal and external stakeholders in their quest for responsible operations and continuous process safety improvement. CCPS is seeking case studies and best practices which demonstrate the role of executive leadership in the creation and maintenance of an effective process safety culture which engages both internal and external stakeholders on the path of continuous process safety improvement. Practical tips on effective strategies and tactics to overcome obstacles including arguments regarding economic payback are welcomed. Presentation by company executives is encouraged.
