(143c) Optimal Selection and Placement of Iot-Based Sensors for Early Detection of Chemical Accidents

In addition to the conventional wired sensors, IoT-based sensors, in a form of fixed as well as mobile, are becoming availble for better monitoring of symptoms and collection of information for early detection and diagnosis of accidents in chemical plants. This reserach introduces an on-going national project of the use of M2M/IoT technology for improved management and response to chemical accidents. System design and simulation-best testing against an industrial setting are also presented.
