Big Data Analytics – Vendor Perspective (invited session) II
Tuesday, April 28, 2015 - 4:00pm to 4:30pm
As we enter the world of Big Data most manufacturers are drowning in a sea of too many alarms. This presentation will discuss how a growing number of companies are leveraging real-time manufacturing analytics to improve product quality and plant efficiency. We will highlight several approaches, and applications for determining appropriate alarm types and how they are being used to produce a powerful return on investment. Applying the ANSI/ISA 18.2 Alarm Management Standard, this presentation will provide best practices for work processes, which provide a path for continuous improvement, while leveraging AC/CA (CAPA) tracking. We will explore prioritization, acknowledgment, SMS/email notification, and advanced alarming capabilities. Finally we will address the right implementation practices to develop organizational habits which maximize the effectiveness of any system.
