Best Practices in Process Intensification
Tuesday, April 12, 2016 - 3:30pm to 4:00pm
Supercritical wet oxidation is the holy grail for destruction of tough to biodegrade species in industrial wastewaters - ones with high COD and not necessarily high BOD. Subcritical approaches are nearly as effective but equally restrained by high energy costs. A process intensification approach to equipment design and energy integration can find a sweet spot for implementing an economic solution.
