(38a) Reflecting on the Past Envisioning the Future: A Vision 2020 Primer

In the future, it is likely that some companies will have significantly better process safety performance than others.  What separates the companies with great performance from those with just average performance?  In Vision 20/20, five industry tenets of companies with great process performance were identified.  During the Vision 20/20 work, it was recognized that there are four societal Themes that are also needed to have great process safety performance.  This presentation relates seminal incidents in our industry to each of the tenets and themes.  It is intended to be a reminder of our past learnings and a primer on Vision 20/20.
