Conceptual design of GTL-FPSO (Gas to Liquid- Floating Production Storage and Offloading) was strategically developed in this work. GTL process typically consists of three individual chemical processes: reforming, Fischer-Tropsch (F-T) and upgrading units. For the design of each reaction system, a methodology of “discrimination of rival kinetics” was applied to develop accurate kinetics for the identified reaction mechanisms. Various technical methodologies such as adsorption, absorption, membrane and hybrid technology were considered to remove CO2 more effectively, and design and operating parameters of the final design were optimized. Lastly, heat exchanger networks and utility system were designed to maximize energy efficiency of the process, minimizing fuel consumption and CO2 release by using pinch technology. This developed mathematical model allows us to perform technical and economic feasibility evaluation of the process more efficiently.
