(81c) Using Social Network Theory to Analyze the Effectiveness of Environment, Safety and Health Management for Two Petrol-Chemical Companies

In this study, "Social network analysis theory" to explore both domestic petrochemical Company "ESH Management System" operating circumstances, the use of qualitative and quantitative social network, observe the operating and difference of individual members of the management system, the purpose of the Department of social network the two views illustrate this petrochemical company's actual operating its ESH management system.

Re-designed questionnaire survey a variety of network operating information of the two petrochemical companies ESH personnel and analysis software "NodeXL" presents its organizational relevance, then qualitative research will work situation ESH management is divided into five community organizations through social networks network "type", then four "measure" for quantitative analysis, background information collected by the organization and personnel, with the measure of the value of the social network diagram can be deduced that three special type of social network members, and finally to explore organization the network workflow.

Organization study found two companies in accordance with ISO system build and the actual operation of the gap is not big, and to measure the centrality of the quantized value index showing, some executives because of the lack of links and some members of the organization is subject to the production of knowledge can not causeIt is not known and so the use of or professional, may be the low of the factors management system performance. Qualitative analysis showed a sense of trust and selection consultancy objects ESH member presented a positive correlation between, and contact with the organization's overall "Network density" and "knowledge network" a significant positive correlation. Thus, through case studies to assist enterprise managers should plan reference ESH Management Organizations and adjust the organizational staffing and understand academic research enterprise as "an organization of social networks' development and operations.
