The promise of Big Data in the chemical manufacturing industry appears to be coming to fruition.  In this presentation we tackle the vexing problem of convincing your organization when and how to take the journey into Big Data.  In this paper we will offer our experiences, reveal some of the challenges we met in gaining buy-in and how we overcame these obstacles.
