For over 30 years the petrochemical industry has been searching for commercially viable alternatives for olefin extraction and purification. The capital and operating costs associated with conventional separation via distillation have hindered project returns and ongoing operational profitability.
Imtex has now developed such an alternative that significantly reduces upfront capital investment and ongoing operational costs. Using proprietary membrane technology, this system is also able to perform separations that have to date been deemed impractical or too costly to pursue. This revolutionary breakthrough is seen as the next advancement in olefins processing technology, offering a high performance alternative to the status quo. Imtex is currently working with several industry leaders to deploy demonstration systems in their petrochemical facilities.
Imtex continues to develop membrane separation technology for a range of applications involving C2, C3 and C4 olefins. Imtex is actively searching for additional demonstration opportunities within the industry, which is the first step towards users realizing the significant benefits the technology will deliver.
Imtex will present the characteristics, attributes and benefits of the Permylene technology, and will illustrate several comparative cases that demonstrate the commercial investment and operational cost advantages of the technology versus conventional olefin/paraffin separation technologies.
