The abundance of sensor data, demand for lean and efficient plant operations, and added complexity of supply chains have evolved industrial requirements and expectations for advanced analytics applications, yet many proposed solutions to meet these new challenges require extensive engineering expertise or massive historical data.

Rockwell Automation has developed innovative, plug-in IoT solutions for analytics. These hardware-based applications require minimal engineering expertise by combining Control Logix technology with data-driven process modeling concepts. Further, these applications access data streams on the connected bus to learn and adapt, minimizing the need for any process historian.

We present a three pump application, which utilizes two of Rockwell’s core plug-in analytics capabilities: automated stream-based modeling and advanced dispatch scheduling to meet anticipated demands.
