Propylene has been a major area of Refinery / Petrochemical integration and rightly so, but one should also look at C4 olefins as well.
Another area of major integration is aromatics. Of course, there are limitations in the blending on benzene into fuels, and at the same time, aromatics have value in petrochemicals.
So, one should evaluating streams for their best use as fuels blending or petrochemical processing or usage. And processing options can also help maximize value, and most especially there are options in the areax of aromatics, as well as olefins.
This paper will present some of these options, and thereby frame some valued-added refining/petrochemical integration.
