Concluding Remarks

This presentation of “Distillation Tower Inspection for Turnarounds and Revamps” covers the unique safety issues for Distillation Tower inspections plus typical work plan responsibilities and inspection equipment. Both preliminary and follow-up inspection of trays and packed systems are covered. Emphasis is placed on what to look for in typical and unique inspection situations with both trayed and packed towers. Examples will be demonstrated and/or discussed including the unique perspective that the Process Engineer brings to the inspection process especially in replacement and revamp situations.
